Melanie Symons is one of Australia’s most accomplished television presenters with an impressive three decade career across studio, location and live formats.
On Sydney Weekender and Weekender TV, two of Australia's beloved travel and life-style programs on the Seven Network, Melanie hosts shows and presents stories inviting viewers to try new experiences, dining and destinations.
Melanie's tenure fronting flagship programs for the Seven and Ten networks, includes international location experience presenting from the US, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Fiji and Brunei and also being invited by the Australian Defence Force to host entertainment performances for Australian and US troops in Afghanistan.
Back home she is entrusted with national live broadcasts and high-profile event hosting, reporting for the sports coverage of Australia's premiere horse racing event The Melbourne Cup, emceeing at Carols in the Domain (one of the country's largest festive events), and working on field as emcee for Australian Wallabies Rugby Test Matches.
Her career spans iconic roles - from co-hosting Saturday Disney and Totally Wild, two of Australia's most popular and enduring children’s shows, to pioneering the renovation television space with Ground Force and Australia’s Best Backyards.
